Cheney claims that the role he plays in the Obama administration as of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. When he accepted the Republican vice presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks at serving alongside one who can work to get things done by reaching across the partisan aisle and working alongside political adversaries in good faith and common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on 30 January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. Cheney was moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. The father of his was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district located in Casper.
