Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for juniors before the Olympics, she took home 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974, she became the overall junior champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well as one silver. She became the first female to do a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry in her teens, when she performed as a figure skating duo with the twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol's first job was in entertainment as a teenager. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. These shows included skaters who were followed by musical performances.
