Laura Linney, best known for portraying strong, but vulnerable characters, is one of the most acclaimed American actors of our times. As a teenager, she spent her summers at her father's house her interest grew in the theater. After studying in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. Within a mere two years after graduation, she launched her Broadway-based career. Following that, she made her debut on TV and film. In the years since, she's been appearing in a variety of films, TV shows and stage performances. She received many accolades throughout her career which included four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Despite her numerous accolades, she is still a lover of the theatre, and has appeared on stage and screen.
