Katherine Heigl speaks with everyone regarding her "white bubble life" and how it's affected her parenting style for the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her body didn't matter to her. However, when having a conversation with her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of the stark differences their lives were. "I asked my sister, Meg, if she had been treated one way when she was walking around with our parents, and another way when she was out on her own without anyone else. Meg replied "Oh yes! All the times!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to Parents. The singer became angry by the incident, and decided to make use of her anger to support her two adopted daughters. Heigl, who has been engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight, who is Black, in 2012.
